Only 60 minute drive out of the city, The Schoolhouse at Mutianyu is an award-winning sustainable tourism enterprise with unique venues nestled under the Great Wall. Our three restaurants, 11 rental homes, and secluded retreat center allow us to offer custom solutions for corporate sessions, team meetings, trainings, events, and dining experiences.

In addition, our new inn and retreat center, the Brickyard Inn & Retreat Center at Mutianyu, opened 1 March 2010. Homemade Slow Foods Group Menus

All of the dishes we serve are based on fresh, local ingredients and are homemade in our kitchen from scratch. The Schoolhouse has been the venue for several A.P. Moller - Maersk events and our experiences are positive without fail. While meeting facilities are basic but adequate, the accommodation in individually styled villas is outstanding and the food excellent.
