Every wedding is a custom wedding at The Schoolhouse. We have hosted many unforgettable special days – from creative, fun and intimate receptions to large traditional wedding functions. Our locations all have a unique charm and appeal and we are committed to helping you create your special wedding, just the way you envision it, in an incomparable setting at Mutianyu Great Wall.

Our wedding dinners are to be remembered. We serve foods based on fresh local ingredients, all homemade from scratch in our own kitchens under the leadership of Executive Chef Randhir Singh. We will be happy to go over options with you and work together on a menu specifically suited for your tastes and preferences, down to the very last dish.

At The Schoolhouse we host both intimate and formal weddings, receptions and dinners. We can accommodate up to 120 guests in our courtyard and outside Great Wall seating terrace, as well as inside in our Art Room. More intimate gatherings can be held in the Schoolhouse Canteen, Classroom or the Smithy. Regardless of the group size, you will get signature Schoolhouse service with a smile and a touch of class - from signature linens to hand-decorated menus. The Roadhouse – home to our own trout pond and garden – can host up to 160 guests. Our team will follow your guidance to provide a custom set-up; from a sound system with stage to distinctive floral arrangements. No matter your preferences, always present are the sweeping views from our Roadhouse terrace of the Great Wall as it stretches along the North and East mountain ridgelines.

The Brickyard Inn & Retreat Center can accommodate up to 48 guests for private wedding receptions and dinners on our main terrace and lawn under the Great Wall. Enjoy a formal jazz dinner with a sparkling wine fountain or go for more local flair with a bridal sedan chair and a custom local wedding troupe.

We are happy to plan your wedding for you to take the stress out of the preparation, just as we are happy to work with professional wedding planners and consultants. We also work with and accommodate guests who wish to bring in special floral arrangements, wedding cakes, wines, and entertainment.

At the Schoolhouse Homes and the Brickyard Inn we have 46 luxury guest rooms where we can accommodate nearly 100 guests. We can arrange transfers from and to downtown Beijing or Capital Airport. We also offer live music options, floral packages, local troupes, after-hour parties and more.
